What You Will Do
As a Nursing Instructor, you will provide both classroom and hands-on clinical instruction that inspires and engages students. You will teach core subjects such as Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Nutrition, and Gerontology while also guiding students through nursing fundamentals and advanced skills. In addition, you will introduce them to specialized areas including medical-surgical nursing, maternal health, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as personal health and vocational relationships.
Your role will also involve updating and developing course materials so they reflect the latest standards in healthcare. You will mentor students in clinical settings, helping them build confidence and strengthen their professional skills. Regular assessment of student performance, constructive feedback, and academic support will be key parts of your responsibility. Collaboration with other faculty and staff will be essential to ensure students receive the highest quality learning experience.
What We Are Looking For
We’re seeking a passionate Nursing Instructor who brings both clinical experience and a desire to inspire future nurses.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing education or two years of recent direct patient care experience
- Strong background in Pediatrics, Critical care, Evidence-based practice, and leadership will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and a genuine passion for mentoring future nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Nursing Adjunct Instructor, you will-
- Teach core nursing subjects such as Pediatrics, Anatomy & Physiology (A&P), Basic Nursing Skills (BNS), Advanced Nursing Skills (ANS), Pharmacology, Nutrition, Gerontology, and more.
- Guide students in clinical settings to apply their knowledge and build real-world skills.
- Teach and inspire nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings.
- Provide specialized instruction in nursing fundamentals and advanced areas like Pediatrics, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal Health (Ob/Gyn), Clinical Instruction, and more.
- Develop and update course materials to ensure relevance with current healthcare standards and best practices.
- Mentor students in clinical settings, fostering skill development, professional growth, and academic success.
- Assess and evaluate student performance, student progress, providing constructive feedback and offering academic support as needed to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning environment for all students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in pediatrics, critical care, evidence-based practice, or nursing leadership
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students succeed
