Federal Financial Aid

PITC Institute – Participates in the following

Federal Title IV Financial aid Programs:

  • Federal PELL Grant Program: current Maximum of $7395.00, 2026-27
  • Federal Subsidized Direct Loan program: current Maximum of $3,500.00 for 1st academic year (Based on need)
  • Federal Unsubsidized Direct Loan program: current Maximum of $2,000. for dependent students, and $6,000 for independent students for the 1st academic year. (Based on program costs)
  • Federal PLUS Loan Program: – A federal program available for parents of dependent students to borrow for a son or daughter who needs additional funds (Based upon program costs, and the creditworthiness of the parent).

To Apply: First, go to fsaid.ed.gov to create a Username and Password. This will allow you to access student and parent Title IV websites. Among them are fafsa.ed.gov and studentloans.gov.

Once your username and password have been created, go to fafsa.ed.gov to apply for Title IV assistance. The school code for PITC INSTITUTE is G37813. Using this will allow the school to determine how much TITLE IV aid you are entitled to receive. NOTE: For all programs beginning before July 1, 2026, will need to complete the 2026-27 FAFSA.

New Students: Please visit studentloans.gov to complete (1) Entrance counseling and (2) sign the Master promissory note.

 Important Notice to Current and Prospective Students :

  • PITC Institute has been notified by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) that the Institute is no longer eligible to participate in the Pennsylvania State Grant Program beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year.
  • As a result, students enrolled in programs beginning during the 2026–2027 award year and thereafter will not be eligible to receive Pennsylvania State Grant funding while attending PITC Institute.
  • This change affects only the Pennsylvania State Grant Program and does not affect a student’s eligibility for other forms of financial assistance for which they may otherwise qualify, including federal student aid programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
  • Current and prospective students who have questions regarding this change or their financial aid options are encouraged to contact the PITC Institute Financial Aid Office for additional information and assistance.
